Following the runaway viral success of her haunting alt-pop hit “In My Room”—which, let’s be honest, has soundtracked more than a few late-night TikTok scrolls—dark-pop provocateur Julia Wolf is back with her infectious new single, “Jennifer’s Body.” The track arrives alongside the announcement of her highly anticipated sophomore album, Pressure. The 11-track collection is slated to arrive on May 23 via AWAL.
“I wasn’t feeling seen or accepted,” Wolf candidly shares. “So I wanted this album to really express the emotions that came with that: the soft doubt, the lack of confidence, the comparing myself to literally everyone that breathes. This was my chance to really lay it all out and be the most honest I’ve ever been.”
Sharing its name with the cult-favorite 2009 Diablo Cody-penned horror-comedy starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried, “Jennifer’s Body” channels the same eerie allure. Julia Wolf delivers a hypnotic performance, her glimmering falsetto cutting through a haze of grunge-laced guitars and brooding atmosphere. Listen to “Jennifer’s Body” below.
Wolf will be hitting the road next week to support Artemas before heading out on her own headline tour later this spring and summer. Check out her tour schedule below and pick up tickets here.
