Joe Mac Meets DotClick Digital Music Network As Joey McIntyre Expands Online Fan Base

DotClick Corporation, the Digital Music Network providing targeted marketing opportunities for record labels, artists, portals, and the radio industry, today announced that pop star Joey McIntyre has launched a private-labeled music companion on his official Web site, www.joeymcintyre.com, to expand his online fan base.

Powered by the DotClick Digital Music Network, the Joey McIntyre plug-in software – activated whenever a fan listens to music via CD or MP3 file – enables people to link directly with McIntyre’s online network, learn about the artist and his work, instant message other devotees, hear about upcoming performances, purchase CD’s, and get recommendations from fans who share the same music tastes. The Flash video for the new song “NYC Girls” from his second solo album, Meet Joe Mac, is available as an exclusive download for members of the Digital Music Network until June 15.

“The enormous fan base Joey McIntyre built as a member of New Kids on the Block is one of the most desirable, Internet-savvy age demographics. The DotClick Digital Music Network will prove a powerful tool for helping artists like Joey build connections with new fans, reestablish them with others, test new music before it hits the streets, and plan targeted marketing campaigns,” said DotClick Vice President of Business Affairs, Howard Altholtz. “As we continue to build out the roster of artists affiliated with the Digital Music Network, this addition further cements our position as the premier online marketing service for the music industry.”

Jerry Jaffe, Joey McIntyre’s manager, added, “The ability to reach out to Joey’s fans with the Digital Music Network enables us to reconnect with long-time fans and expose him to new audiences. It’s a powerful resource for artists.”

A Boston native, Joey McIntyre grew up as a member of the superstar group New Kids on the Block. After a five-year hiatus from recording, McIntyre released his debut solo album Stay the Same in 1999. Q Records, in association with Atlantic Records, released Meet Joe Mac on May 15, 2001 to critical acclaim. McIntyre is currently on an aggressive U.S. radio tour.
