Janet Jackson will release “All for You,” the first release from her upcoming album, to radio March 6. The single’s title is also being considered for the name of the album, which is due April 24, according to a spokesperson for Virgin Records.
Produced by longtime Janet collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the album will be Jackson’s first since 1997’s The Velvet Rope. According to Jimmy Jam, the new disc will be more “carefree” and will include guest production by Neptunes and Rockwilder.
Jackson will be honored in the first installment of “mtvICON,” a career retrospective and tribute featuring ‘N Sync, Macy Gray and Destiny’s Child, which will air on MTV on March 13.
