Janet Jackson’s current tour will wrap with an HBO concert special, titled Janet Jackson: In Concert From Hawaii, on February 17 at 9 p.m. ET. The special will feature her performance at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Although the concert is still more than a week away, it has already been set for release in both VHS and DVD formats in June.
R&B singer Ginuwine is currently on tour with Jackson through February 17, after which he will hit the road with *NSYNC in March. Janet Jackson: In Concert From Hawaii will be her second HBO special-the Janet: The Velvet Rope special won an Emmy Award in 1998.
Jackson recently earned three nominations for the upcoming 44th annual Grammy Awards, including best pop vocal album for All For You, best dance recording for the title track, and best female pop vocal performance for “Someone To Call My Lover.” The Grammy ceremony takes place February 27 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will air live on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
