Following the release of 2024’s The Great Impersonator, Halsey is back with their first new music of 2025, “safeword.” The song features riot grrrl-infused punk screams infused with sexually liberating lyrics such as “I got a bad reputation from the fucking around/I got a standing ovation from the others on the playground.” For fans of Halsey’s hit “Nightmare,” this is the new rock track you need to hear ASAP.
