Following the release of three new American Idiot tracks and revealing their Punk Bunny Coffee holiday offerings, Green Day has a unique drop in honor of Dookie‘s 30th anniversary.
The band has collaborated with BRAIN—the wild and wonderful art studio that brought you Fall Out Boy’s CRYNYL—to make DOOKIE DEMASTERED. Each song will be given new life by being put into formats that are “inconvenient” at best when it comes to listening.
Examples include Big Mouth Billy Bass singing “Basket Case,” Teddy Ruxpin playing “Chump” and much more. Listen to your favorite song in a bizarre, nostalgic object by entering to win them here. The drawing concludes on Friday, October 11 at 11 AM ET.

This isn’t the only anniversary that Green Day is celebrating in style. Coming up on October 25, the band will be sharing the 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of American Idiot.
Of the deluxe release, the band shares on their social platforms, “In the summer of 2004, Green Day entered the studio with Rob Cavallo to create American Idiot, uncertain of what the future held. They were audacious, rebellious, and stressed out by the state of the country at the time. American Idiot was crafted as a response to the daily bombardment of media that spreads it far and wide, making us desensitized and weary -filled with themes that still ring true today, even 20 years later.
They add, “When they made this record, they couldn’t foresee the impact that was to come—23 million copies sold, 6x platinum, multiple GRAMMYs, a Broadway musical, and so much more.
Finally, they note, “The album turns a whole 20 years old this year, and you know they’ve cracked open the vaults for a very special 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition that comes out on October 25th.”
