Ahead of the release of the quiet pleasures EP, arriving on February 21 via AWAL and Wichita Recordings, Glixen has unveiled the towering new single “All Tied Up.”
“‘all tied up’ is about feeling completely consumed by someone,” vocalist Aislinn Ritchie shares. “We definitely wanted the song to feel enveloping. There’s a subtle tension that builds throughout with a push and pull between the guitars and vocals. The song hits hard with its emotional depth, yet breathes with a playful melody.”
Unfolding like a hazy daydream in a wash of ‘90s-inspired distorted guitars and thunderous drums, the track fully embraces the band’s grunge-infused sound. The layered instrumentation creates a wall of sound that feels both nostalgic and raw, while Ritchie’s almost weightless vocals drift effortlessly across, adding a delicate contrast to the song’s ethereal tendencies.
