Memphis May Fire (ft. Blindside) — “Overdose”
For those who just can’t say no.
Memphis May Fire‘s latest single, “Overdose,” from their forthcoming album Shapeshifter (out March 28), shoots energy and power right from the first second. Featuring Blindside‘s Christian Lindskog, the track combines intense metalcore instrumentation with gripping lyrics and holds nothing back as it highlights the sheer ease of becoming addicted to life’s highs, regardless of the consequences. The combination of Matty Mullins and Lindskog’s vocals goes so hard that it’s a match made in metal heaven. Mullins says of the collab, “Christian has always been a bucket list guest vocalist for me, and it’s an absolute honor to have his iconic style gracing this track.” Look for Memphis May Fire on the road all year this year; this track is bound to be a pit favorite. —Sasha
As It Is (ft. Lucas Woodland of Holding Absence) — “Dial Tones”
For anyone who feels nostalgic, but still wants music discovery bragging rights in their friend group.
After making waves throughout 2024 and dropping their expansive 25-track B-Sides & Rarities collection in November, As It Is has returned with a reimagined rendition of their 2015 hit single, “Dial Tones.” This fresh take on their fan-favorite track features a stirring guest appearance by Lucas Woodland, frontman of Holding Absence. The result is both a nostalgic nod to the band’s roots and a bold, modern reinvention.
If you thought As It Is had reached their peak, think again. This release feels like just the beginning of something even greater for the group. While the band’s next move remains under wraps, one thing is clear: As It Is continues to prove they’re far from done, and their best is likely yet to come. —Paige Owens
Architects — “Blackhole”
For those who believe in metalcore world domination.
As Architects gear up for the release of their new album, The Earth, The Sky, And All Between, next month, they have made it perfectly clear through the first couple of singles released: they’re pissed as fuck and bringing fans some of their heaviest material yet. Combining crushing riffs and breakdowns that will give listeners permanent “stank face” with stadium-sized anthemic choruses in a way that only they can do, they’ve once again proven they are one of the best in the world at writing songs that will make listeners both uncontrollably headbang whilst singing along at the top of their lungs! —Patrick Walford
Public Figure — “Animals”
For fans of anyone who misses Go Radio.
If you are in the camp of preferring alternative rock or pop punk without the seemingly quintessential “whiny voice,” Public Figures’ new track will certainly perk your ears. Carried by warm, smooth, and sultry vocals bathed over twinkly guitars and thick drums, “Animals” leans toward the more mature end of the genre. It’s a song that could attract all generations—something a teenager and a parent could listen to together. “Animals” has an arena rock feel while still catering to a nostalgic and cozy indie aesthetic. Public Figures are definitely a band to keep an eye on. Especially as warmer weather is on the horizon. —Tate Logan
Empire Of None — “Wildhearts”
For those who need a song that’ll pump them up a Celsius before a workout.
If you need a song to pump you up, “Wildhearts” from Empire Of None is for you. The strings get you pumped up like you’re waiting to beat the final boss in your favorite video game. “The beat goes on and on” in the song before the chorus gives you the inspiring message of “you’re gonna win, and the hook of the light will lead us home” and gives you the comfort of knowing everything will be ok. —Fish
