LØLØ — “*snow in berlin*”

For fans of walking on frozen lakes while wishing they could freeze time to live in a perfect moment forever.

Arriving in 2023 just in time for the holiday season, LØLØ’s “*snow in berlin*” is a melancholic serenade capturing a perfect wintertime moment and freezing it forever. Narrating her first European snowfall like a scene from a film, her delicate whispers are tenderly blanketed in a flurry of gentle acoustic guitars as she gracefully confronts her candid lyricism. Cradled between soothing coos, she sings, “I was rooting for you,” weaving a poignant narrative of young love and innocence melting away. —Paige Owens

The Maine — “Santa Stole My Girlfriend”

For fans whose holiday cheer went to another reindeer.

We all know “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” but we never knew St. Nick would steal your significant other! With the beautiful acoustic vibe, you would have no idea that this song was about losing the love of your life to someone who might or might not be Santa Claus and ending up alone on Christmas Day. The Maine’s “Santa Stole My Girlfriend” may have a hidden message: don’t ask for too much, or you might be disappointed by not being grateful for what you already have. —Fish

CARR — “Hope Your Christmas Blows”

For fans who just don’t feel the holiday cheer this year.

With soft sentiments of holiday heartbreak and seasonal sads, this track is an ethereal and somber answer to cheery Christmas jingles. Sometimes, breakups and betrayals happen during the most wonderful time of the year, and when that happens, it’s difficult to jingle any bells. Carr’s voice feels warm and cozy, like a fire, while conveying the feelings of a melted snowman in the cold winter sun. A holiday classic for all heartbroken grinches everywhere. —Sasha

Senses Fail — “I Wish It Was Christmas Today”

For fans who want holiday music with some attitude and bite!

Senses Fail’s “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” is a cover of an SNL bit from 2000 that’s a total banger! The New Jersey group gave the world this track 4 years ago, and it hasn’t left listeners’ headphones during the holidays since. Catchy singalongs, an upbeat instrumental, and just enough of the aggro side of the band toward the end. A Senses Fail holiday album somewhere in the future would rock! —Patrick Walford

Teddy Swims — “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”

For those who want nostalgia for the holidays.

Teddy Swims‘ rendition of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” on his EP A Very Teddy Christmas is a standout track for the holiday season. His soulful vocals breathe new life into this classic, evoking warmth and nostalgia. The arrangement is both modern and respectful of the original, making it a perfect addition to any festive playlist. —Eddie Barella
