senses — “stabilizer”
For anyone who needs their music to match their spiraling thoughts.
senses are back with “stabilizer,” a high-voltage pop-rock anthem that hits like a jolt to the system. Following the runaway success of “diamonds on your dagger,” their new track leans into the push-and-pull of finding stability in a chaotic world—spinning mood stabilizers into a metaphor for clarity. Soaring melodies, anthemic hooks, and a gut-punch of emotion make this one an instant standout. And in case their new release isn’t enough to bring you to your senses (*wink wink*), the pair teamed up with idobi Radio to launch a stripped-back rendition of “novocain,” streaming exclusively in the free idobi App. —Paige Owens
Knox — “You Happened”
If you need a reason for hating on things you used to love.
Knox happened. Every single time Knox drops a new song Knox quite literally happens. If you’ve ever wondered why you hated certain things and then put it together it was because it reminded you more so than what you used to enjoy about it, it’s time to move on. While there’s nothing wrong with My Morning Jacket, there are definitely artists someone can scar you from listening to. Luckily as sad as a sentiment this song has, it’s almost impossible not to smile ear to ear after hearing this. —Fish
The Belladonna Treatment — “Bits Of Elation”
For those who are spiraling and proud of it.
“Bits Of Elation” by The Belladonna Treatment is an intense, hypnotic track that pulls you into its atmospheric world. With heavy guitars, gritty vocals, and a brooding energy, it feels like a steady descent into something raw and untamed. It’s the kind of song that lingers, wrapping around you like a smoky haze after a late-night live show. It feels unsettling and addictive, like a sonic fever dream that sticks with you long after it’s over. If you’re feeling those feelings and just want to scream into your pillow, this song is absolutely the best one to do it to! —Sasha
Movements — “Where I Lay”
For the Movements fans that have been with them since the start.
“‘Where I Lay’ is one of those songs that was tough for me to write,” Movements vocalist Patrick Miranda shares on their latest effort. Deeming the song “One for the outcasts,” long-time Movements fans will certainly appreciate a familiar sound. The track is purposefully reminiscent of their beloved earlier work found on releases like “Feel Something” or even “Outgrown Things.” However, the approach isn’t remotely stale. It offers a more refined delivery that has melded the best parts of Movements over the years. As the weather starts to change, along with your playlists, “Where I Lay” is the perfect tune to transition you from winter to spring. —Tate Logan
SiM — “CHAMPiONS”
For fans of video game soundtracks that go heavy.
SiM continues their meteoric rise with the epic new single “CHAMPiONS.” The track was written specifically as the theme song for Apex Legends Global Series (its World Championship). It showcases the band’s unreal ability to write epic, unpredictable stadium-sized rock tracks with some explosive breakdowns sprinkled in throughout that never feel boring or calculated. One of the best parts about the band is never knowing what you’re going to get musically each time they release a song, but knowing no matter what it sounds like that it’s going to fucking rule. Songs and theme songs like this are what gamers have been clamoring for for years: epic original music from bands and artists they’ve come to know and love. Metal bands need to write all the theme songs to everything, ever. For the rest of time. And eternity. —Patrick Walford
