Four Year Strong is back in full force with their new single, one of their heaviest tracks to date, “daddy of mine.” The new release is a ripper from start to finish, with the band leaning further into their heavier influences and roots.

“‘Daddy of Mine’ is about writer’s block,” vocalist/guitarist Dan O’Connor shares of the band’s latest effort. “We had it really bad when we started writing again, and we decided to combat it by writing something heavier and faster than we ever have. Overthinking was hurting us, so we just got out of our own way and stopped dwelling on our own expectations of ourselves.”

The masterful interplay between O’Connor and Alan Day on vocal and guitar duties is at its prime, marked by a myriad of headbanging breakdowns and bombastic drums meticulously woven throughout the track. The group’s undeniable synergy is electricrifying across the song, infusing it with a pulsating energy and intensity that enthralls listeners from the opening notes. Four Year Strong is gearing up for a hot and heavy summer. Beginning in June, the band will join A Day To Remember on tour, acting as support alongside The Story So Far. The group will also make appearances at Four Chord Music Festival in Pittsburgh and back-to-back performances at When We Were Young Fest in Las Vegas.
