Here’s your first look at your next mystery drama obsession. Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington have shared the first photo from their upcoming series Little Fires Everywhere. Based on Celeste Ng’s 2017 bestseller of the same name, Little Fires Everywhere tells the story of the Richardson family, whose seemingly perfect suburban lives get turned upside down when they begin renting an apartment to artist Mia Warren and her teenage daughter Pearl.
As the two families begin to intertwine the secrets unravel and the story explores the connections between art and identity, between family and doing what it takes to protect them. Witherspoon will be playing matriarch Elena Richardson and Washington will take on the role of Mia. Joining them will be Rosemarie DeWitt (Linda McCullough), Joshua Jackson (Bill Richardson), Jade Pettyjohn (Lexie Richardson), Jordan Elsass (Trip Richardson), Gavin Lewis (Moody Richardson), Megan Stott (Izzy Richardson), and Lexi Underwood (Pearl Warren). Little Fires Everywhere will debut on Hulu next year—which gives you plenty of time to pick up the novel and prepare yourself for this heartbreaking story.
