It might come as a surprise to some that Danny Trejo, a Mexican-American actor most well-known for playing the villain or anti-hero, was a hero in real life yesterday when he pulled a young special needs boy from an overturned SUV after witnessing a collision in Silmar CA. Trejo spoke with ABC7 about the incident recalling how a young woman helped by unbuckling the boy’s seatbelt so he could free him from the vehicle. If you’d ever met Mr. Trejo it would not be at all surprising to hear that after rescuing the boy he then made an effort to calm him, as he is an incredibly kind and warm individual. In the on-scene interview, he said: “Everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else, Everything, and that’s the way I live.” Danny Trejo voices the character Boots in “Dora And The Lost City Of Gold” which opens in theaters August 9.
