UNFD has another dazzling act on their stacked roster with the recent signing of New Haven metalcore/synthwave artist Dreamwake. The rising quartet made their label debut with single, “Heatwave,” which features a unique blend of saxophone action, heavy riffs, soaring pop-punk vocals, and raw screams.
The band says, “‘Heatwave’ is about that feeling of nostalgia when you look back on life and realize things will never be the same. It’s about those moments when you’re stuck in the same place but everything around you feels different, and you can’t help but long for how things used to be.”
Dreamwake shares, “The song reflects that bittersweet tension of trying to hold on to the past while also knowing it’s time to let go. It’s a reflection on change, growth, and the acceptance that moving forward often means leaving something behind. Ultimately, it’s about embracing that shift and finding peace in the next chapter.”
