With Black Sabbath’s August tour canceled, and Disturbed’s opening slot with it, the Chicago quartet will use the month following Ozzfest to begin work on their next album while preparing for a headlining jaunt of their own.
After Ozzfest concludes August 12 in Holmdel, New Jersey, Disturbed plan to head home to begin pre-production for their second album, which they hope to release next summer, according to their management. In mid-September, they’ll embark on a headlining tour with Stereomud and Ozzfest compatriots Drowning Pool in tow. Two other bands could also be added to the lineup.
The Windy City wailers are also developing a DVD that will include interview clips and footage from Ozzfest and their previous headlining tour. The disc should hit stores in spring 2002.
Disturbed’s tour with Black Sabbath was scheduled to kick off just days after the last Ozzfest date but was canceled so that frontman Ozzy Osbourne could finish work on his solo album.
