Destiny’s Child have been tapped to headline MTV’s inaugural “TRL” tour, which will kick off in mid-July and hit 30 cities.
Other artists featured on the bill include Nelly, Eve, Jessica Simpson, Dream and 3LW.
The dates and venues for the tour will be announced by Destiny’s Child and “Total Request Live” host Carson Daly on “TRL” on Tuesday, the same day D Child’s new album hits stores. (MTV’s parent company, Viacom, also owns Sonicnet.)
Survivor is the group’s third album and first with the lineup of BeyoncÈ Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The record includes a cover of the Bee Gees-penned Samantha Sang hit “Emotion,” along with a medley of gospel songs.
Nelly will release Free City, the debut album from his group, St. Lunatics, on June 5.
