Deryck Whibley Sells Toronto Home, Moves Nearer To Avril Lavigne

For months now Canadian pop princess Avril Lavigne and Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley have been sidestepping rumours that they’re snuggling up and making some sweet Can-Rock love. Well, deny all you want kids, but when a guy decides to move to Los Angeles, which just, by coincidence, happens to be the home of a certain lady friend, it usually means the dude wants to do more than just jam.

According to the Globe And Mail, Whibley recently sold his Toronto home to move to the land of the fake and famous, high-tailing it to La La Land.

If the two lovebirds are in fact moving in together, their combined income will make what Whibley sold his home for seem like pocket change, but hey, a million bucks in spare coin ain’t bad.

In 2003, Whibley bought the Riverdale home, located at 197 Withrow Ave., for a steep $905,000, only to sell it this year for a whopping $1,075,000 – that’s a $170,000 profit if you’re keeping track.

In un-rockstar fashion, the home was left in pristine condition. Not a broken TV, or trashed couch in the place. Apparently some of his rooms in this former triplex, now loft-like home, were dedicated to Whibley’s love of instruments, while his recreation room dazzled the music types with its limestone floor. Floor to ceiling windows helped the moonlight illuminate Whibley’s kitchen during romantic late night dinners, while the bedroom’s five-piece en suite bathroom – also with limestone floor – made getting ready for early interviews easy. Not a bad step up for the Ajax raised rocker.
