Ahead of her spring tour kicking off in April, Chloe Moriondo has unveiled her bright new single, “hate it.” Marking the second release from her forthcoming album, oyster, the 13-track collection is set to arrive on March 28 via Public Consumption/Atlantic Music Group.
Moriondo shares of the single, “‘hate it’ encapsulates all the feelings of jealousy, hatred, and obsession that can come with a crush on someone unattainable, or yearning for a life that feels unattainable.”
Despite its haunting message, the track pulses with upbeat, pop-forward melodies, blending with Moriondo’s signature candid lyricism. Lines like “Wanna wear your body/and trade places” cut through the vibrant production. Watch the video for “hate it” below.
“I’m so fucking ecstatic for this album to be out,” she continues. “I’ve been yearning to release it since its conception and I’m bursting at the shell trying not to leak it all now. It’s full of vulnerability, frivolous crushes, despair, parties, and 17 billion tons of salt water. The world is my oyster, and soon it will be yours too!”
