Following the release of her 2024 singles “21” and “Nightly,” Caroline Reilly is beginning 2025 with a bang. The Atlanta-based pop-rocker dropped a dazzling cover of Kesha‘s “Die Young,” the hit single from her 2012 album Warrior. With punk riffs and soaring emo vocals, this glitter-meets-grunge cover is one to add from the daring rising artist.
“Covering ‘Die Young’ was a no-brainer for me,” Reilly explains. “Kesha’s music embodies a carefree spirit that I deeply resonate with —it’s a nostalgic reminder of those wild, messy nights in the 2010s. In a world that feels way too polished and pristine, I miss the raw energy and freedom her songs bring. Kesha’s vibe always made me feel accepted, like I could just be myself without judgment.”
Reilly adds, “With this cover, I wanted to try to recapture that exhilarating energy and create a space where everyone can embrace their true selves. We need ‘Messy Kesha Core’ back.”

On Instagram, Reilly shared the song and thanked her besties and bandmates. “And just like that… it’s out,” her post reads. “I’m so thankful for everyone involved in this project. Thank you to the beautiful girls in my band for playing on this track and being such a huge part of my promo for the song.”
