Britney Spears Talks Timberlake And Durst With U.K. Tabloid

Britney Spears said in a candid interview with the U.K. tabloid the Sun that none of the songs that will be on her upcoming album will have anything to do with her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake or their break-up.

Timberlake’s music video for his hit single “Cry Me A River” showed him breaking up with a girl who looked so much like Spears that even she was shocked when she first saw the clip. “I was shocked to sh-t,” Spears told the Sun. “First time I saw it I thought, ‘Oh, my God, it’s me.’ It was a little weird but if that’s the way he has to deal with things, that’s fine-and he got a Number One video.”

And as far as the other rumors about her relationship with the *NSYNC singer, Spears said, “Justin never proposed to me, and I didn’t cheat on him.” Spears also told the newspaper that she doesn’t speak to Timberlake anymore.

Spears also said to the Sun that persistent rumors about her and Fred Durst were simply not true-despite Durst’s announcement on a radio show that he had slept with her. “Fred and I worked together for a couple of days,” Spears explained. “Justin and I had broken up and we’d go out at night and we’d see each other.”

Spears said the Limp Bizkit singer was “a cool guy but that’s as far as it went.” After Durst said publicly that he had been together with her Spears said she called him. “I left a message telling him, ‘We have to talk. I wish you’d stop saying those things about me that aren’t true.'” Spears said Durst didn’t return her call, but she noted-in her words-“It’s made me such a strong girl. You can’t let it bother you.”
