Britney Spears’ new album will not be released on November 25 as previously announced by her record label, Jive Records. A statement on the singer’s official website reads, “The release date previously reported on this site and elsewhere was incorrect and we apologize for any confusion. We will let you know when a revised date is announced. Thanks for your understanding.”
Spears is on the cover of the new Rolling Stone magazine that hit newsstands Friday (September 12). Spears also spoke to the magazine about her new album. “This record is definitely personal to me. But it’s not shockingly personal,” she explained to Rolling Stone. “I think once you start being so self-serving with your music, I did a little bit of that with my last record, and I really didn’t want to put myself out there that much.”
