Brian Marquis, former guitarist of Boston hardcore band Therefore I Am, has announced signing a deal with Equal Vision Records as a solo artist. Marquis will release his debut full-length album, Blood & Spirits, on May 13.
“I am extremely excited to be teaming up with Equal Vision Records for my first solo full length. I feel confident that they know where I’m coming from and are genuinely excited about where I’m headed with my new music,” says Marquis. “Having played music for a while now in different scenarios, one of the most important things to me now, is working with people who are just as passionate about what they do as I am about my music. It’s that enthusiasm and foresight that make me proud to be a part of the EVR family.”
Marquis will also be heading out on the first ever Acoustic Basement UK Tour with Geoff Rickly (Thursday), KOJI and Rob Lynch before performing and running production on the Acoustic Basement Stage during the 2014 Vans Warped Tour.
