Marlon Brando will make a special presentation to Michael Jackson at a Sept. 7 tribute concert at Madison Square Garden.
Brando and Jackson have been friends for more than 20 years, event organizers said.
A second concert is set for Sept. 10.
Jackson is scheduled to perform music from his upcoming album, “Invincible,” at both concerts, which will mark his 30-year solo recording career.
Organizers have tapped a “who’s who” of entertainers to pay tribute to the 42-year-old singer, including ‘N Sync, Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, Britney Spears and Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott.
The event will be filmed for a two-hour prime-time special for CBS to air during the 2001-2002 season.
