Boston Manor has announced a re-issue of their beloved debut album, Be Nothing., along with a 10th anniversary tour to celebrate. Boston Manor fans, it is okay if you feel old today. Who can believe it has been an entire decade since the album that gave us “Laika” dropped!? Over the last ten years, Boston Manor has grown and changed into many different beautiful iterations of their band. The group has always proved themselves to be something unique, but Be Nothing. was the effort that built their foundation. The re-issue arrives August 14th ahead of the anniverary tour.
Boston Manor bassist Dan Cunniff shares, “For me; writing and recording Be Nothing. was one of the most exciting things we had done at that time. Doing the “band thing” for many years previous to Boston Manor, I’d always wanted to be involved in writing a full length record but never had the opportunity to do it properly.”
He continues, “So by the time the opportunity came round, I felt like we were all hyper focused on what we wanted to achieve and also keeping in mind what this record would sound like in 10 years from that point. That being said; I think we achieved our goals with Be Nothing. because I believe this record holds up even today 10 years on. The record did more than we thought it would do for us. It opened up so many doors, especially in the touring world. Having the opportunity to travel all around the world because of one record is pretty insane!”
