Beck, one of mid-90s alternative rock’s favorite sons, released his new single “Saw Lightning” this week. The song precedes an appearance on Virginia Beach’s Shaky Knees festival stage (May 5 – May 8) and his US tour with Cage The Elephant, beginning in July.
“Saw Lightning” is the first single from Hyperspace which is due out later this year (yet no official release date has been announced). If the record follows this song in kind it will be another unique addition to Beck’s 13 album discography. In his 26 year career, we’ve gotten used to Beck delivering fantastic songs with his special lo-fi brand of creativity.
