Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis film has a star. July 15, Luhrmann revealed via Twitter that Austin Butler (The Shannara, The Dead Don’t Die) will play the legendary musician. Also slated for the film is everyone’s favorite dadTom Hanks cast as Elvis’s manager Col. Tom Parker. The script for the film was written by Baz Luhrmann, Craig Pearce, and Sam Bromell. With no release date for the film, the project may be a long way off. With Luhrmann at the helm, it’s sure to be spectacular.
