Following the release of singles “Close To The Sun” and “Fields,” Anna Shoemaker is back with an ethereal new track, “Game Of Thrones.” All three tracks are set to appear on her just-announced record Someone Should Stop Her, set for release on February 21.

Shoemaker explains, “’Game Of Thrones’ is a chronicle of every thought (good and bad) of someone in their late twenties trying to figure out how they can become who they want to be.”

She continues, “It’s about doom scrolling, comparison, wanting to keep up with trends, binge-watching TV, accidentally blacking out at the family reunion— all the things that you thought you’d left behind in your early twenties and yet….”

In the track, Shoemaker perfectly encapsulates growing pains that continue into adulthood with shimmering vocals and visuals. Plus, the lyrics, “All I think about is Jacob Elordi and if my personality’s getting boring it’s no surprise,” uniquely hit home for young adults everywhere.

Of the record, Shoemaker took to Instagram to say, “Constantine and I wrote this album in Long Island and then drove down to Nashville to record at our friend John’s studio. We actually ended up rewriting a lot of it in Nashville. I think once we got in the car to drive down there we were like, ‘Holy shit holy shit we are uprooting our lives to make this— it better be absolutely exactly what we want it to be.'”

She continues, “I can say on my end that this album is indeed exactly everything I wanted and needed it to be. I can’t wait for you to hear it. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much for listening, I love you!”
