Simple Creatures dropped a new video today for their song “Special” and it’s EVERYTHING. If you’ve lived in a cave for the past 26 years and don’t know it both Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth make music to be consumed with a sense of humor. Not every song is funny but, when you catch the lyrics, there are jokes in almost every song. It just makes sense that the new video would feature Hoppus and Gaskarth as sock puppets. The video is an Alex Gaskarth production, stylistically homemade and full of imaginative goodness. Gaskarth is a well of talent and creativity. The song is impressively well rounded not only drawing from the music makers’ previous endeavors but current pop trends as well. The duo of pop-punk masterminds started releasing music as Simple Creatures in 2019 with their EP Strangelove and we highly suggest you listen. “Special” is the first single from an EP to be released later this year. Keep the hits coming guys, this is fantastic.
