Chicago pop-punk outfit Action/Adventure are stepping into a major moment for the band—and they’re talking all about it on an all-new episode of Emo Social Club, airing tonight at 6 PM ET/5 PM CT only on idobi Radio.
Frontman Brompton Jackson joins the show to discuss the band’s upcoming hometown performance at Bottom Lounge this Friday, March 13, where they’ll celebrate the release of their new LP Ever After. The stacked lineup also features Meet Me @ The Altar, Rematch, and Rarity.

Discussing the album’s writing and recording process, Jackson shares, “It was kind of like a thought experiment—what can we come up with when we’re all in a room together? It was probably the hardest six months of our career as a band. It really put us through the wringer.”
While monumental in its own right—marking the start of a new era for Action/Adventure—the show also carries a bittersweet weight of finality as well. Drummer Adrian recently revealed that the Chicago performance will be his final appearance with the band. Jackson shared that the decision came after considerable thought.
“It’s a decision he put a lot of thought into. I think he has grown into the person that he needs to be,” Jackson shares with Emo Social Club. “You miss birthdays, you miss a lot of events in people’s lives. I’m just happy he’s making what he feels like is the best decision for him. It’s obviously just all love and support.”

Despite one chapter starting and another ending simultaneously, Jackson says, “It’s going to be really cool to give the record its flowers at least the one time.”
