Following the release of single “Bloodlust,” UK hard rock act Acres are back with “Staring At The Sun,” set to appear on their forthcoming LP The Host, due out on May 2 via Solid State Records.

Lead vocalist Ben Lumber says, “‘Staring at the Sun’ is a classic miserable Acres love song. The record goes in a brand new direction, but we wanted a few songs to nod to our roots with remnants of our old vibe. It’s about not being able to let go of someone or something who has a hold over you.”

He continues, “The Host represents a bold step in a new direction for us as a band, we’ve always pushed ourselves to evolve with every album and never write the same record twice. This time the process was unlike anything we’ve done before, working with Landon Tewers brought a fresh perspective and added a new flair to our sound that we’re really excited about!”
