YUNGBLUD, the audacious and outspoken sensation, has added gasoline to the already blazing fire with his new video release for “Lowlife.” Released through Locomotion/Geffen Records, this track stands as YUNGBLUD‘s premiere offering of 2023 issued earlier this summer at the start of his US headlining tour.

Drawing inspiration from a vivid blend of influences like “Emo Shameless” and “St Trinians on acid,” according to YUNGBLUD, the visual spectacle mirrors the track’s relentless energy while diving headfirst into his imaginative universe.

As the mastermind behind the music, YUNGBLUD reveals that the video wasn’t just a mere accompaniment; it was a catalyst. With a creative process that intertwined writing the song with visualizing its video counterpart, YUNGBLUD channeled his artistic essence to craft a vivid narrative. Camden Town, with its distinct vibe, served as the fitting backdrop for this tale of self-discovery, mischief, and youthful rebellion.

“I knew it had to be shot in Camden Town and I wanted to be walking side by side with my younger self, guiding him through a fucked up world based on real memories and people I have encountered in my life,” the UK sensation shares. “Almost a message to myself saying that life doesn’t always have to be so deep and there is beauty to be found in chaos and opportunity in disaster.”

He continues, “I met Colt when I was filming a live session in New Orleans and immediately upon meeting him I knew he had to play the little me. He was such a little brat with a load of bite and energy and felt exactly like me when I was his age so we flew him out to London for the shoot. This video is completely bonkers, but that’s what makes it perfect.”

YUNGBLUD is currently wrapping up the US leg of his World Tour with The Regrettes as support before a slew of festival performances later this month. Grab tickets for his last remaining tour dates and festival performances here.
