blink-182 made their long-awaited comeback at The Mark, Tom and Travis Show at Coachella on Friday (April 14th). Taking to the Sahara Stage, the trio tore threw a setlist that couldn’t be much more perfect. From “Anthem Part II” to “Reckless Abandon”, “Aliens Exist” to “Down”, and even “Man Overboard”. it had absolutely everything and so much more. There was even time for some classic blink banter.
Coachella have released some of the official footage from the show, and it looked as special as it sounded. Scrappy and chaotic in all the ways that a blink-182 show should be, you can also see just how much joy being back and playing together it was for the lads. Going from Tom’s explosive departure almost a decade ago to Mark’s cancer diagnosis in 2021, it felt like everything that had come before washed away in their time on stage, and the emotional weight was palpable through every note, lyric and dick joke comment.
