Indie act Wallows are longing for an answer with their single, “Calling After Me.” This is the second song that’s off of their upcoming album, Model, which arrives on May 24 via Atlantic Records. Tapping into a lackadaisical summery sound, the track sticks true to the band’s melodic background.
The trio’s triumph return allows them to flex their wings sonically. While able to have high-energy tunes alongside slower motifs, the band keeps it cool, consistent, and casual with their recent release. “I don’t mind the things that you’ve been doing/Think you need someone like me to get through it” illustrates committing to something more than a romantic fling. Partnered with singer Dylan Minnette’s voice, he’s able to hypnotize the listener with a comforting tone that’ll make anyone consider their next move.
Along with the new song also comes the full tracklist for the incoming LP. It features 12 songs including “Your Apartment,” which was the first single to be released.

“We like that ‘Calling After Me’ is pretty fun and light on its feet for a Wallows song.” The band says in a statement, “We’re excited for people to hear it and play it live this summer.” Earlier this month, the LA act announced a tour spanning from North America to the UK and Europe. They’ll hit 38 cities over the summer and bring along singer-songwriter BENEE as support.
