As Too Close To Touch prepares to unveil their final album, For Keeps, a dedication to their late vocalist Keaton Pierce, this Friday, March 8, the remaining members have unleashed an emotionally charged new single, “Novocaine.” Featuring Bad Omens vocalist Noah Sebastian, the haunting new single is the third track to be issued from the group’s highly anticipated forthcoming album.
The song opens with a gentle glow of instrumentation as Noah Sebastian’s layered vocals echo against the backdrop. The accompanying video features a swirling black-and-white motif, capturing images of the band in the studio, including Keaton in the recording booth. As the track crescendos, it breaks into a boisterous array of heavy-hitting arrangements, with Keaton once again taking the vocal reigns. However, as Keaton soars through the track, his voice collides with Noah’s to create a beautiful blend. Check out “Novocaine” featuring Noah Sebastian below.
“‘For Keeps’ is our last gift to the Too Close To Touch community,” guitarist Mason Marble shares in the band’s recently released mini-documentary. “Too Close To Touch would never have existed without Keaton and will not exist without him in the future. I think that’s a very important thing we had to come to terms with, and I think everyone needs to come to terms with who listens to the band. The project was us together, and that’s the way it needs to stay. Those things that would come really naturally, that really resonated with the people who loved the band. They couldn’t be emulated with someone else filling his shoes.”

Drummer Kenneth Downey adds, “To be able to give it closure is a blessing. To have this much of him left, his lyrics and emotions captured… not a lot of people have that.”
