Thornhill have made a triumphant return with the release of their new track “Viper Room“. The band have been marching to a beat of their own for the past few years. Starting life as a punishing post-hardcore outfit, fuelled by vulnerability and crushing intent, their latest campaign turned everything on its head. That was for “Heroine“, which was released in 2022. A record that deals in the more sensual and atmospheric corners of rock and metal, they created a world steeped in drama and decadence. Borrowing from old Hollywood as much as the space-age ambition of Muse, they have transcended the path they may have been travelling down. And with “Viper Room“, they are continuing to take huge steps.
This is a track with urgency and swagger. Razor sharp on all edges and bristling with energy and electricity that few can match. It showcases the depths that Thornhill are will to dive into whilst sticking to the same intensity and intricacy that has helped them to carve their name in rock. It’s ethereal and entrancing, direct and devilish, and absolutely compelling from beginning to end.

The band had this to say about the song and what it represents for them:
“Viper Room discusses a one-sided urge to keep pursuing an individual out of stubborn lust and fear, even when given explicit warning to move on.”
