The Word Alive Get Furious On New Track “Strange Love”

The Word Alive are the sort of band that will always take you by surprise. With a career that spans from the most emotional of pop to the most crushing of metalcore, every step is an adventure. And with their latest chapter, that isn’t looking to change. Kicking off the year with the release of “New Reality”, which followed up last year’s drop “Nocturnal Future”, they have shared another new track. And it goes in.

That song is “Strange Love”, and it sits on the heavier side of their sound. Delivering destructive riffs and downbeat breakdowns in abundance, it also shows off vocalist Telle Smith’s vast vocal range. Smooth as caramel one second, sharp as knives the next, it’s a firm reminder of what The Word Alive have always had in its back pocket.

Telle had this to say about the track and what it represents for him:

“Have you ever fallen for the wrong person? Someone who uses and twists your heart and good intentions into something that feels more like torture than love?”

“The impact of social media is prevalent in so many aspects of our lives. “Strange Love” is meant to feel like the toxic rollercoaster we sometimes find ourselves on when chasing love.”
