The Used have released their second track, “Giving Up,” from their upcoming tenth album, following the preview of Toxic Positivity with their lead single “Numb.” Toxic Positivity will arrive this Friday, May 19 via Big Noise.

“Giving Up” is a departure from their previous single, injected with an array of pop-punk melodies intertwining with vocalist Bert McCracken’s emotionally charged delivery that encapsulates the band’s signature blend of raw intensity and melodic vulnerability.

The song’s dynamic structure mirrors the emotional journey it takes the listener on, seamlessly transitioning between moments of aggression and introspection. The chorus serves as a cathartic release, where McCracken’s vocals become particularly poignant and gripping.

“Giving Up” stands as a testament to The Used‘s ability to channel their frustrations and vulnerabilities into music that resonates with a generation seeking hope. The song serves as a rallying cry for those feeling alone and searching for inner peace. Check out “Giving Up” below and be sure to preorder Toxic Positivity here.

Earlier this week, The Used announced their Toxic Positivity release show with special guest FELICITY, which will be held at The Troubadour in LA on Saturday, May 20. The band is also getting ready to embark on The Creative Control Tour with Pierce The Veil, Don Broco, DeathbyRomy, and girlfriends. Grab tickets to see The Used live here.
