Your fave weird family is back! The Umbrella Academy S2 hits Netflix on July 31st and to get you positively screaming with anticipation, there’s a new trailer. And y’all, there is so much going on your heads might explode if you try to take it in all at once. So get ready to hit play a thousand times below—oh, and did we mention? To make things even more squeal-worthy, the trailer features an original song by the one & only Gerard Way. He says that writing “Here Comes the End” was a product of the apocalypse onscreen and in real life:
“I was originally inspired to write this track when series one of The Umbrella Academy was being shot; by the time I finished it 2020 was in full swing, the world had taken a profound turn and the song was finished in a surreal new reality.”
In the trailer we’re reunited with our super-strange family who’ve been scattered around Dallas after last season’s time jump. But they may or may not be all in the same time period. And that may or may not have messed up the entire timeline and fate of the world (didn’t anyone tell ’em not to mess with time travel?).
