The Home Team has issued their irresistibly catchy new single, “Hell,” along with an exhilarating animated music video. The latest track from the four-piece exudes their trademark prowess, charisma, and tenacity, consistent with their previous releases, “Brag” and “Loud.”
“‘Hell’ is a big ‘ol’ whopping leap into songwriting territory that we’re very familiar with, but in a completely new package,” vocalist Brian Butcher explains of the band’s new release. “This is one of those songs that we didn’t really set out to make but just came together in a great way. We had plenty of ‘Aha!’ moments during the process, and we ended up with a song that we’ve got a lot of faith in. We’re anticipating that this will satiate our heavy music listeners pretty well.”

Accompanied by a video crafted by a list of talented animators, including Brandon Maker, Klaive Lami, Justyn “Manta” Pierce, Esau A. Muñoz, Adam Rakić, Abel Barriga, and Alejandro Rodriguez, it pays homage to classic and modern animated games, television, and film. The band embarks on a journey through, you guessed it, hell. Drawing inspiration from iconic characters like Mario and the newly public domain black-and-white Mickey Mouse, as well as nods to Guitar Hero and others, the video adds a darker twist to beloved classics. Infused with their distinct sense of humor and authenticity, “Hell” showcases the band’s strength through masterful instrumentation and Baker’s irresistible vocal range.
