The Gaslight Anthem Share First New Music In Nine Years

The Gaslight Anthem are well and truly back now. After going on hiatus back in 2015, with a momentary return in 2018, the band announced that they were reuniting last year to incredible acclaim and excitement. With a tour pencilled in, attention turned to if new music would be making an appearance as well.

And now, that day has arrived.

“Positive Charge” is the first music that the band have released since 2014’s full-length Get Hurt, and it is so good to hear them channelling the heart and soul that made them such an established and seminal band. Raucous, heartfelt and brimming with passion and power, it’s a rip-roaring piece of rock and roll brilliance that is ready and waiting to be screamed along to. A sentimental and sensational return.

Vocalist Brian Fallon had this to say about it:

“Positive Charge began as a message of joy to ourselves and to our audience.  The central theme is about looking at the things you’ve come through and feeling like you want to go ahead with an open heart toward the future, believing that the best years are not behind any of us and the good we have is worth something.”

The band are going to be on the road across the US for most of 2023 now. Here are all the places you will be able to catch them:
