The Cab are back! The band has posted a short video featuring a snippet of a new track called “Running Late,” which will appear on the group’s upcoming record. In the video taken from the studio and posted to their social platforms on Monday, April 29, fans can hear frontman Alex DeLeon’s vocals accompanied by a gospel-style choir singing.

“This has been both the hardest and most rewarding album we have written,” the band explains of the song’s meaning in the post’s caption. “So much has happened in our lives. Smooth skies and turbulence. Love and loss. Fears and fight. Life is short and we have more songs to sing. I think we have realized that music is best when shared. Together.”

The preview came on a special day, too. “It’s beautiful and poetic to us that we finished our album right around The Cab Day 2024,” the Las Vegas act adds in their post. “Even if we are ‘Running Late,’ it won’t be long now.”

While we don’t have solidified details as to when their return album will be released, fans can grab their newly reissued 2008 LP, Whisper War, via Smartpunk Records. The label remastered the record on vinyl with exclusive, updated packaging. The re-release includes three variants: Lemonade + Black Galaxy (Smartpunk exclusive), Black Inside Light Blue (indie store exclusive), and White.
