The Band CAMINO have been very busy in the first half of the year. Quietly noodling away and drip-feeding track after track of emotive and electric alternative rock. Their output for 2023 is made up of three singles; “Told You So”, “What Am I Missing?” and “Last Man In The World“. But now it is all unravelling as they have revealed it was all leading to a new full-length.
That album is going to be called The Dark and will be released on August 11 via dblblk/Elektra Records. It serves as the follow-up to 2021’s self-titled record. The tracklisting looks like this:
01. “Told You So”
02. “What Am I Missing”
03. “Save My Life”
04. “Let It Happen”
05. “It’s You (It’s You)”
06. “Same Page”
07. “See You Later”
08. ”Afraid of the Dark”
09. “Novocaine”
10. “Three Month Hangover”
11. “Last Man In The World”

And the artwork looks a little bit like this:
They have celebrated the announcement with the release of their fourth track from it. That is “See You Later”, and it shimmers and shines with glitchy 80s synths and disco ball intent. Romantically funky and as ready for radio as it gets, it’s a bop and a half:
