Sum 41 has unleashed their fiery new single, “Rise Up,” pulled from the Hell side of their forthcoming double album, Heaven :x: Hell. The group’s pending release, which marks their final album before the legendary outfit disband, will arrive on March 29, 2024, via Rise Records

“Rise Up,” the first track issued from Sum 41’s Hell side of the album, showcases the group’s classic pop-punk attitude enhanced with a heavier edge that is newer for the band. Vocalist Deryck Whibley has previously noted that the Heaven side of the double album will highlight the group’s storied pop-punk sound while the Hell side brings a heavier volume to their final release.

Of the forthcoming album release, Whibley, “Once I heard the music, I was confident enough to say, ‘This is the record I’d like to go out on.’ We’ve made a double album of pop-punk and metal, and it makes sense. It took a long time for us to pave this lane for ourselves, but we did, and it’s unique to us.”

Since the announcement of the band’s disbandment, Sum 41 has released one single and video from the Heaven side of the album, “Landmines,” and now one single and video from the Hell side of the album. Check out their lead single from the Heaven side below.
