Of course, we’re counting down the days until Sum 41 set the world ablaze with their forthcoming double album, Heaven :x: Hell, which is scheduled to arrive as the band’s final record on March 29 via Rise Records. However, when one door closes, another opens. While the final chapter of the storied pop-punkers is filled with bittersweet emotions, we’re excited to announce that Sum 41 bassist Cone McCaslin will be joining the idobi Radio family with his new show, “Cone’s Cave.”
Scheduled to launch on Monday, February 12, at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT, followed by a podcast of the episode at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, this weekly series promises engaging discussions with fellow musicians spanning various genres such as punk, metal, and rock, as well as tour stories, insights into song inspirations, a glimpse into Cone’s life, and more. Additionally, Cone will chat with actors, actresses, athletes, and more for a guaranteed good time. And all from the comfort of…Cone’s Cave!
The debut episode of “Cone’s Cave” will feature the esteemed drummer of DREAMCAR and No Doubt, Adrian Young. The latter of Adrian’s groups recently announced a highly-anticipated reunion performance at this year’s Coachella. Together, Cone and Adrian engage in a captivating conversation, unraveling the early chapters of No Doubt‘s illustrious history and exploring the pivotal breakthrough moments that shaped the band.
Of the launch of “Cone’s Cave,” Cone shares, “I’m very happy to be teaming up with idobi Radio to bring everyone my show ‘Cone’s Cave.’ You will hear outrageous tour stories, what certain songs were written about, and also get a glimpse into the crazy life of a musician, actor, producer, etc. Come along for the ride and get lost in my cave…….. Cone’s Cave!”
As Sum 41 embarks on their final chapter, “Cone’s Cave” arrives as a momentous celebration for the artist. This show not only commemorates Cone’s extraordinary journey with Sum 41 but also relays his firsthand experiences in the evolving landscape of the music industry over his 25 years with the group.
