Columbus’ premier cinematic rock outfit Starset officially announced they will be hitting the road in 2024 with an all-new live experience, Immersion: The Final Chapter.

Beginning in early April in Nashville and concluding in mid-May in Chicago, this live show will reveal more storylines from previous demonstrations, of course, focusing on their trademark dystopian futuristic narrative.

Earlier today, the ensemble shared a tour teaser trailer outlining an astronaut in a rocket hurdling through the atmosphere. The Instagram caption reads, “It begins. And it ends. Now.”

On top of announcing a major U.S. tour, lead vocalist Dustin Bates is also poised to release his second fiction novel A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FUTURE, due out April 8. The book, which shares a name with a Starset interlude, follows up Bates’ 2016 novel The PROX Transmissions and the corresponding 2017 graphic novel.

According to Google Books, The PROX Transmissions plot follows SETI radio astronomer Dr. Stephen Browning. “His world begins to unravel as he discovers the cryptic message includes information of advanced technology and a dire warning from the future. Seeking the aid of brilliant-yet-impetuous playboy, Dr. Aston Wise, the two set off on an epic journey to discover the meaning of the transmission, only to discover that they are pawns in a much bigger game. Humanity hangs in the balance as powerful forces vie for control of the future, with only Wise and Browning to stop them,” notes Google Books.
