Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last two years, everyone is aware of the impact that Spiritbox has had on the metal and alternative music communities since their debut studio album, Eternal Blue, dropped in 2021. Quickly followed up by their 2022 EP Rotoscope, Spiritbox has launched itself into the stratosphere and ignited a fire within their fanbase.

In an all-new interview with Revolver, vocalist Courtney LaPlante revealed that the trio may be heading toward a hat trick with new music already geared up to release in 2023. LaPlante is eager to share the group’s latest creations with fans, revealing, “We wrote this music because we really wanna share it with you. It made us feel a certain way and we wanna see if it makes you feel a certain way, too.”

“I’m really excited, but it is gonna be really hard,” LaPlante shared with Revolver. “We love to sabotage ourselves. So we’re like, Hey, let’s throw in writing new music, too — and hopefully, we’ll get some new music out in the first half of the year. After that, we’re gonna hibernate and hopefully write an album. That’s the goal. Crazy first half of the year, pretty chill second half.”

“If everything aligns and we feel really strongly that everything hits exactly how we want — the art and the music and the whole thing around it — we’ll want to put this out as soon as possible,” she reveals in the interview.

While we’re all eagerly waiting for Spiritbox’s next release, the trio is currently on their debut headline tour with support from After The Burial and Intervals. You can check out a full rundown of their current tour dates and pick up tickets here.
