Brand new tunes for a brand new day,
it’s time to Rise Rock n’ Shine…
Who: This fall Love Again is making their mark. The San Antonio band is described as emo-indie rock and they’re inviting you into their sound with the What I Left Behind EP on 11/20.
What: Love Me sums up the fallout of a break up with “I’ll Remember”.
Why: “I’ll Remember” is a modern pop punk track that’s rough around the edges—but it has to be to let the raw emotion spill over. Love Me battles regret and frustration on the track as it slips from quick-paced pop punk verses to introspective choruses. If you’ve ever had your heart broken, turn it up and sing along. You’ll feel better afterwards.

“We’ve been pretty excited about this new single since before it was released. We feel that the song has the same vibe as our first two singles but with some new elements that expand the sound. The song is about falling in love with a best friend. Losing that friendship in the process but remembering the good times that were had. There have been some people who have reached out to us and expressed how much they are enjoying the song and what it means to them. That has been the greatest thing to come out of this new single and we couldn’t be more thankful. ‘I’ll Remember’ will be on our first EP What I Left Behind coming out November 20th. We’re also very excited about sharing the EP with people. It has the sound that we’ve been developing along with some other vibes.” – Joseph Rodriguez (vocalist/guitarist for Love Again)

Who: Ty Trehern is learning how to navigate the highs and lows of life on his upcoming album Dear Dichtomy. Releasing 10/23, the collection sees the Mississippi artist wear his emotions on his sleeve—and work them into ten killer tracks.
What: Hear the second single from the collection, “Sleep”.
Why: When the road out of insomnia seems impossibly long, “Sleep” is here to accompany you on your trip. If you’ve ever spent a night wide awake with too much on your mind you’ll immediately gravitate to the alt-rock track. The song takes you on a journey of mellow flows and urgent pleads that are catchy enough they might make you forget what kept you up in the first place. Of course, you could lose even more sleep while you hit the replay button… but that’s a problem for tomorrow morning.

“‘Sleep’ talks about a byproduct of the conflict that comes along with the power struggle of internal differences: literally being kept awake at night by that and dealing with the anxiety that comes along with it. Although it’s fairly new to listeners, it’s one of the first songs that we finished during the recording process and represented a shift in sound that Jonathan (Dolese) and I were trying to capture while working on the new album.
It was such an important song for me to write because it presented an opportunity to dive into this new atmosphere that I’ve never had the chance to work with before, as well as push myself lyrically in a way that I was struggling with previously. It showcases an entirely different dynamic of who I am as an artist and what types of sounds exist throughout the record, and I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish with it.” – Ty Trehern
