Rise Rock n’ Shine: JUJ + Mondo Cozmo

Bacon is good, but new music is better.

It’s time to Rise Rock n’ Shine…

Who: JUJ has dedication to her art unlike any other. Despite any setbacks, the 19 year old songstress has made her way to LA to pursue a career in making music you can feel.

What: “Pieces” takes us into JUJ’s struggle with insomnia.

Why: A powerful alt-pop anthem, “Pieces” is the song that will be there for you when you feel alone in the world and there is no asset more valuable than that.

“‘Pieces’ is about my personal struggle with insomnia, which has been and still is a huge struggle for me. I wrote the hook of the song at 4 am in my bed while I was at the heat of my insomnia, then I went to the studio the next morning to write this track.” – JUJ

Who: Mondo Cozmo is wasting no time launching into 2020. With two sets of tour dates already announced and a song featured on ABC’s The Good Doctor, the whole world is about to be listening.

What: The simple but beautiful video for “Generator”.

Why: Getting lost in your feels? “Generator” is the perfect soundtrack. The slow-burning alt-rock song is reflective and emotional, bringing you into the head-space to sort sh*t out.

“The song’s called ‘Generator’ and it’s the third single we released from the upcoming record. It’s a really beautiful track and it features some great people on it too, like my buddy Peter Hayes from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, you can hear his voice at the end of the song. And my buddy Arch from Philadelphia who’s in a band called Illinois. I’m really proud of this one, I’m proud of the lyrics, I hope you like it, and I hope it speaks to you.” – Josh Ostrander/Mondo Cozmo
