Rise Rock n Shine: Action/Adventure + Oscar Lang

Grab a cup of coffee and your best pair of headphones,

it’s time to Rise Rock n’ Shine…

Who: Action/Adventure has teamed up with Pure Noise this year to bring us music that makes our Pop-Punk hearts full. The Chicago-based band has been making magic for seven years, but now they are really leveling up, their first EP, Pulling Focus, drops April 30th.

What: “Poser” gives us a taste of what to expect on the upcoming EP. Get ready for the release with this killer sound.

Why: You will immediately be living your best Pop-Punk life when you turn up “Poser”. It is so full of energy, that you’ll be trading in your third cup of coffee for more Action/Adventure. The music video follows the same high-energy vibe and it is infectious. On top of that, the band started #PopPunkinColor on TikTok after being mistaken for rappers time and time again because they don’t look like your average Pop-Punk band. They are out there reminding people that not everyone fits the mold and they’re proud of it.

Who: If you love British-Pop that runs deep, Oscar Lang is your guy. He has spent his early 20s well, by rising to the top with music that is addicting. He’s continuing the climb with his debut album, Chew the Scenery, dropping July 16th.

What: July feels too far away, but we don’t have to fret. Oscar Lang dropped his single “Stuck” to tide us over and we’re loving it.

Why: We’ve all been stuck before. Hell, we’ve all been stuck this past year collectively. Stuck successfully captures that specific kind of trapped when you’re in your head and you can’t get out. The song opens with a killer beat, and then you start to hear the lyrics and you can feel the relatable emotion. You get the great combination of a crazy, catchy song and human connection.
