Just weeks after Tim Armstrong reunited with Operation Ivy’s Jesse Michaels for the announcement of their new band Bad Optix, Armstrong’s legendary punk rock group Rancid has delivered their new single “Tomorrow Never Comes.”
Along with the titular track release, the group has announced their first new album since 2017’s Trouble Maker. Produced by Epitaph founder and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz, Rancid’s forthcoming album Tomorrow Never Comes will arrive on June 2 via Epitaph and Hellcat Records (Armstrong’s label imprint under Epitaph).

The leading single is a crash course in quintessential punk rock, with Armstrong and co. ripping through the track in classic Rancid fashion. Injected with Armstrong’s sprechgesang growling delivery and the group’s collective punishing instrumentation, “Tomorrow Never Comes” exemplifies the rip-roaring power of the band, despite six years passing between their last release and their latest.
